What can I expect at my first appointment?
Answer:
Your first appointment will last between 60-75 minutes. A thorough history is taken of your present symptoms, past medical history, family history and diet history. A full physical exam and lab work when necessary. After this assessment, Dr. Hokayem will discuss a holistic treatment plan with you.
Question:
Will the homeopathic remedies and/or supplements have any adverse interaction with my current prescription medications?
Answer:
It is important that the patient disclose all prescription and non-prescription medications currently being taken. Dr. Hokayem is thoroughly trained in drug/herb and drug/nutrient interactions.

Where do I purchase my products?
Answer:
Any products can be bought from a third party via a personal account which will be established for you. There are a few exceptions to this using homeopathy, these can be purchased at the office.

Is this covered by my insurance?
Answer
Dr. Hokayem is a primary care physician, whose practice is based on a "Fee for Service." This means you will pay for services as they are rendered. Naturopathic medicine is covered by most extended health insurance plans. The office will provide you with a completed HCFA form (receipt). This form can be submitted to your insurance company for reimbursement of an "out of network" provider visit. You can check with your insurance company for specific coverage.
