About Naturopathic Doctors
Naturopathic Physicians (N.D.) are primary care physicians trained in the broadest scope of naturopathic modalities. In addition to a conventional medical curriculum the naturopathic physician is required to complete four years training in holistic approaches including clinical nutrition, botanical medicine, homeopathy, acupuncture, psychology and counseling. A naturopathic physician takes rigorous professional board exams so that he or she may be licensed by a state or jurisdiction as a primary care general practice physician.
